The bathroom was well arranged, be it that the opening to get in and out of the shower was a bit on the narrow side. The room I stayed in was fairly small, but more than enough for my needs. In addition to its central location, the hotel is also in a quiet street. It’s expensive (more than €400 for two adults and two children for two nights with breakfast) and the bed bugs will leave you red, itchy and furious with the Ibis chain.Ġ.45km from downtown Located at less than 500 metres walking from the entrance of the Palace of Versailles, and with a nice selection of restaurants just around the corner, this hotel could not be better located. The hotel manager did change our rooms as soon as he learned of our displeasure but by then, the damage had been done. After just one night both of my children and I were attacked by bed bugs, leaving unsightly rashes across our bodies and spoiling what should have been an enjoyable holiday.

Worse, the hotel rooms simply aren’t up to the minimum standards of hygiene. The shower room / toilet’s lack of a toilet brush is just unacceptable. If you stay longer than one night, don’t expect your room to be cleaned or even a change of towels. The rooms are ok but the cramped, odorous shower and toilet is far from ideal. The breakfast at €10.90 is expensive and not good value given that it’s just a buffet of toast, cereal, cold ham, cheese, boiled egg, French pastries, juice, fruit and hot drinks with no access to hot food. If you want to use it, that’ll cost you an extra €15 per day. The parking facility, highlighted in the advert, is simply a marketing ploy. And as advantages go, that’s about it because this hotel frankly, left a terrible impression on my family and I. Within 3 minutes walking distance, the location of this ibis hotel is perfect for visits to the glorious Versailles palace. 0.29km from downtown Let’s start with the positives.
